SEM engaged in the promotion of entrepreneurship and excellence in youth.
Libreville , May 22, 2014 - Equatorial Mining Company and the Academy Franco -American Management handed prizes to the three winners of business plans competitions organized within the renowned establishment. This event is part of a process that aims to promote entrepreneurship and excellence among young people in the context of a labor market changing in Gabon.
La Société Equatoriale des Mines (SEM ) and the Academy Franco -American Management ( AFRAM ) conducted the prize contest business plans headquarters in Libreville school May 22, 2014.
The contest , which mobilized many students this renowned establishment has was a great success . Following a series of four seminars on the role of the entrepreneur and the methodology for developing a business plan hosted by Gabon and professionals from abroad, as well as teachers , participants were asked to produce a business plan is an essential tool for development and success of a project.
Criteria selections refined
The proposed business plans were reviewed by the jury on the basis of criteria following :
• Quality of the overall presentation of the project;
• Motivations promoters ;
• Quality of analysis of the market and the environment;
• Quality of the marketing plan ;
• Quality assessment of the resources required for the operation ;
• Quality of forecasting studies ;
• Quality of financial papers ;
• Quality of the oral presentation ;
• Innovation / Originality of the project .
Thus, the price of the winner of the contest was awarded to Ms. Darolle Kibouanga and Mr. Nicolas Moussavou for their web development project offering virtual services. These winners will receive , among other things, mentoring sessions with a professional to complete their project, access to an incubator business offered by Performance Consulting , legal creation of their
free society by the FFA office , a copy of the Summary Fiscal 2014 FFA editions and a check of FCFA 500,000.
The second prize was awarded to Ms. Dora Liz Komba , Mr. Ly Therence Ngoua and Mr. Besnik Mbeng Ondo who proposed a project to help at home. The third prize was granted to Mr. Briole Ipouka Mr. Joyce and Ms. Laila Inguemba Ongaye for their paper recycling project . The winners of the second and third prizes were respectively checks FCFA 250,000 and FCFA 100,000 and a Accurate copy of Fiscal 2014 editions FFA.
"For these students, the challenge was to put into practice the theoretical concepts acquired as part of their training. The winners distinguished themselves by quality of their business plan which took into account a set of parameters they knew detail skillfully to make their concrete and operational projects. " says Fabrice Nze - Bekale , Managing Director of SEM and president of the jury.
Other jury members included Ms. Zouera Youssouffou , Resident Representative of the World Bank in Gabon , Mr. Nicolas Chevrinais , Managing Director of Trust Africa and France and a member of EY Yannick Ebibie , Consultant at Performance Consulting.
Encourage the entrepreneurial
This initiative of the SEM is to promote entrepreneurship and excellence in youth , especially students called to integrate the labor market changing Gabon.
"The phase of economic diversification that knows Gabon and opportunities sector arising must accompany offers services catalyzed through entrepreneurship . Mining, for example , have seen a change important and needs subcontracting are felt . We need more entrepreneurs with reliable, able to support operators in their activities and the development of the mining industry. "said the Director General SEM.
The ceremony was attended by many members of the sector including representatives of private local banks and microfinance firms audit .
