Libreville, 8 January 2014 - Société Equatoriale des Mines will attend the 2015 edition of the Mining Indaba conference in Cape Town (South Africa) with a stand. The company aims to capitalize on the opportunities provided by the event so as to build partnerships with a view to develop promising gold or marble projects.
Société Equatoriale des Mines (SEM) will attend the Mining Indaba conference which is to take place from 9 to 12 February in Cape Town in South Africa with a view to promote their gold prospecting and marble mining projects.
Such projects include the gold in Lombo Bouenguidi (province of Ogooué-Lolo) and Camp 6 (province of Ogooué-Ivindo), along with the marble mining projects based in Dousseoussou (province of Nyanga).
The Lombo-Bouenguidi permit is a very promising project of prospecting of primary and alluvial gold deposits. It is characterized by numerous sites of small-scale and artisanal gold mining and zones of gold anomalies. As for the Camp 6 gold prospect, two types of gold mineralization were observed during the campaign carried out in 2014: alluvial gold and BIF-associated gold.
As for the Dousseoussou mining permit, it consists in resuming the mining of the marble quarry. The reserves will be certified from February 2015 and the production of the quarry is to start by the first term of 2016.
During the first phase of the project, the marble blocks mined will be exported. The second phase will entail the manufacturing of finished products (marble tiles, ornamental marble and marble slabs) in the cutting facility to be based in Tchibanga in the province of Nyanga. The production is to be marketed locally and internationally.
"SEM is to attend in the Mining Indaba conference with the aim of identifying reliable partnerships for a quick development of their promising projects. We have planned to arrange a stand intended for promotion since these projects are vital for the development of the company which mission include initiate and carry on with mining projects on its own or in partnership. Mining Indaba is a major event which brings together numerous operators, technical services providers in the mining industry and investors."
